Nominate a CHEST Community Connection

Since 2023, the CHEST Community Connections initiative has fostered intentional engagement with local communities at the site of our annual meeting. This initiative provides unique opportunities to connect meeting attendees, health care and human service providers, and advocates working in communities.  

Help us choose organizations that are located and serve communities in the cities where CHEST Annual Meetings will be held. To be considered for this opportunity, an organization can self-nominate, or a CHEST member can nominate an organization.

We are looking to receive nominations for CHEST 2025 in Chicago (October 19 to 22) by February 28, 2025. If you have a recommended organization for a future annual meeting site, please feel free to also submit now! A list of future CHEST Annual Meeting locations can be found below.

The CHEST Community Connections designation includes: 

  • Recognition across CHEST social media platforms, website, and newsletters 
  • A micro-presentation at the Experience CHEST theater inside the Exhibit Hall  
  • Complimentary one-day meeting registration for up to three presenters 
  • A one-time $5,000 donation from CHEST 
  • The potential to host CHEST volunteers at the organization’s main office or other site for a pre-annual meeting volunteer engagement event

To be considered, organizations must meet the following criteria: 

  1. The organization must hold nonprofit status or have a current fiscal sponsorship in place and directly serve a client or patient population.

  2. The primary focus and goal of the organization must be related to health and wellness, environmental health, health care, population health, and/or community health.

  3. The organization cannot be a current recipient of a CHEST Community Impact grant. 

Priority will be given to organizations with a primary focus on lung health/lung disease and/or respiratory-related service delivery and care.

To be considered for a CHEST Community Connections designation, please complete the following form. Nominations for CHEST 2025 in Chicago are due by February 28, 2025. Nominations for future years will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed every February.
