Apply for the Journal CHEST® Early Career Editorial Board Member Program

Early career chest medicine professionals who are within 15 years of their terminal university degree are invited to apply for the Journal CHEST Early Career Editorial Board Member Program. Working directly under the guidance of a journal CHEST associate editor, Early Career Editorial Board program members participate in a breadth of publishing responsibilities, including reviewing journal submissions, providing feedback on manuscripts, making recommendations regarding final decisions on content, and more.

During the 12-month term, Journal CHEST Early Career Editorial Board Program members influence and shape what’s published in this prestigious journal while broadening their knowledge of scholarly medical publishing, including improving their understanding of manuscript review, ethics, and strategy. Program members also deepen their learning through regular editorial board meetings and educational sessions with the journal’s deputy editors.
